These Daemons' eyes are deeply set, milk-white and without pupils. Their visages are framed by horns sprouting from the sides of their skulls and shaggy manes that run down their backs, their hair like black wire that was moulded and spiked by gore.
KHORNE BLOOD GLORY SKIN
Their snarling, bestial faces, twisted by rage, are overlarge with the skin pulled taut, so that their face appears as a skull. Ī Bloodletter's head is stretched tall with two ridged horns the colour of bone sprouting from their temples. It also drips constantly with blood, for Bloodletters frequently paint their bodies with gore taken from the enemies they have slain. Ī Bloodletter's skin beneath their armour runs from the deepest red to near-orange in colour and is as hard as brass forged upon the anvil of ceaseless war. They wear naught but scraps of plate armour, most often of brass or bronze, stamped and pressed in Daemonic forges and welded while they are there upon their bodies. Their horns and claws are blackened and flecked with crimson and their feet are turned and cloven like those of a goat. Their bodies are slim with a muscled, wiry strength. Each holds a shrieking sword, each shrieks in disharmony with his blade, each joins the chorus of Chaos, a promise of worse than death for those that hear it. Units hit by flaming attacks heal at half the usual rate whilst 'on fire’ and sustain additional damage if vulnerable to fire." Behind him wait the Legions of his Master, arrayed in armour fluted and droved with gold, brighter than the sun and darker than midnight. This advantage can be a damage bonus against small targets, superior weight used to smash through lighter enemies, or an explosive attack from range that effects a large area. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.Īnti-infantry units have an advantage against targets that are smaller than a horse. The damage of armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. Units within range of both the Lord's aura and an encouraging unit will receive the larger of the two bonuses.Īrmoured units can block damage from any source apart from Armour-Piercing damage. This unit provides a leadership bonus to nearby allies. This unit is Daemonic (has physical resistance, does not rout, is immune to terror, takes damage when Leadership is low) This unit frightens all enemy units, reducing their leadership when nearby. When the bloodlust and frenzy are at their utmost levels, minor wounds are healed by the Blood God's towering, unassailable will.Įven the greatest foes can be laid low with terrible injuries, and the greater the damage done, the less able they will be to effectively continue the fray. Once the Daemon's courage has failed them, they will fall back through the portal to the Chaos Realm whence they belong.
